Post-Game Jam Update


Hi everyone!

We are excited to announce that the 6-hour Game Jam version of RoomCraft is now complete. Despite the short timeframe, we were able to implement several core features that capture the foundation of the idea.

Features completed during the jam

  • Furniture item selection and manipulation – players can choose and rotate furniture items.


  • Character animations – basic animations bring the player character to life.

  • Storage UI with interaction – a functional interface to view and manage available furniture parts.

  • Furniture placement and rotation – players can decorate room interiors by placing and rotating furniture, with collision detection, shadows, and lighting


Bugs fixed

  • Resolved an issue where the system was incorrectly identifying the ground as part of the furniture parts.

Next steps for development

While the jam version provides a solid starting point, there are several areas we plan to expand and refine:

  • Assembly mechanics – developing more detailed and interactive systems for putting furniture together.
  • Thematic refinement – improving the overall look, feel, and consistency of the game world.
  • Additional features – including customization options for individual furniture pieces.
