Dev Log #4


Hey everyone! Our first playable level is up! We had a play session with Igor yesterday — huge thanks to him for all the thoughtful feedback and suggestions.

What’s New

  • Spawning Pieces from the UI – You can now spawn pieces directly from the UI.
  • Side Attachments – Pieces can now be attached from the side, giving more flexibility during assembly.
  • Win/Lose Condition – There’s now a proper end state to the level so players can actually win by building and placing required furnitures.
  • Transparent Front Walls – Front walls turn transparent during placement, making it easier to see what’s going on inside.

What’s Next

We’ve got a few big things lined up next:

  • Major Bug Fixes – The win/lose condition and transparent wall logic still need some love.
  • Client Commission Mode – Building out the mode where players take on furniture-building requests.
  • Ghost Pieces Preview – Showing a ghost version of pieces while spawning so players can see where it’ll go.
  • Control Polishing – Making the overall controls feel more simple and consistent.
  • TA Feedback – Incorporating other Igor’s notes, like unifying rotation between assembly and placement modes, adding drag-and-drop for easier building, etc.
