Post-Alpha Dev Log


Hey everyone! We’ve wrapped up our alpha milestone and are excited to share the latest updates and what’s next for the project.

What’s New

  • New Character Model and Animations – We’ve integrated a new character model with new animations.
  • Bug Fixes and Logic Improvements – Several major bugs and logic issues identified during first play testing have been resolved.

Moving Toward Beta

Based on the feedback we received from the judges during our alpha presentation, we’re planning some major updates for the beta build.

  • Simplified Controls – We’re consolidating and streamlining the control system to make gameplay more intuitive. This includes removing the inventory system in favor of a pile of pieces and a user manual, updating the assembly logic to support drag-and-drop instead of click-based interactions, and making rotation available only in placement mode.
  • Design Improvements – We’re redesigning the UI, start screen, and end screen to make them cleaner and more cohesive.
  • New Player Animations – With the new control system, we’ll add animations for collecting and throwing pieces from the pile and checking the manual.

We’re really excited about these upcoming changes. Stay tuned as we move into the beta phase!
